You may wonder where to get good reliable advice to keep children safe e.g. when you see scares and sometimes hoaxes about various e-safety issues. Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Board is a statutory multi-agency board made up of representatives from the Local Authority, Police, Health Service, Probation Trust, Youth Offending Service, the Voluntary Sector and others. It has a website with a page especially for parents: www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/lscb/parents
Safer Internet: you can go to the parents/carers section to find out how to set up parental controls.
Police Digital Security Centre (PDSC) is a not-for-profit organisation, owned by the police, who believe that the majority of cyber crime can be prevented by taking a few simple steps.
Internet Matters: This is a valuable site to keep an eye on to help parents keep children safe online.
Thinkuknow is an education programme from the National Crime Agency’s CEOP Command. CEOP works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. It has a website with a page especially for parents: https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/
